Feeding the Earth-Body: Fermentation and Soil Regeneration

Join Diana Seiler, Holistic Health Coach, Permaculture Designer and former Director of our Soil to Soul Program for a deep dive into the diversity of foods for both gut and soil health, learning how these substrates mirror each other.

We will discuss the importance of creating fertile ground for vibrant life to grow. When soil is fed, life abounds and the food growing in this soil becomes nourishment for the animals who eat it. Together we will explore input options for regenerating soil and prepare a compost tea - an easy to make natural fertilizer. We will discuss various fermented food options to nourish our guts and ultimately our body-mind-spirit. We will prepare veggies for facto-fermentation with a jar-full to take home - a delicious inoculant for supporting healthy digestion, ready to eat within a week.

This gathering is offered on a sliding scale of $20-$50, with 3 scholarship opportunities available to ensure access for those with limited financial means.
